About Klei

Klei is an independent ceramics shop in Hackney featuring work by local and UK based makers

It was founded by London-based potters Skye Corewijn and Jessica Joslin in 2018 and has been curated and run by Skye since 2021. The word ‘Klei’ translates to clay, which is what the space is all about. It’s a project that explores various methods of making and firing through work made by an eclectic and incredibly talented group of local potters. We host regular guest artists and exhibitions throughout the year to explore different concepts and themes, and our online store is always open.
